What’s a Blocked Cat you might ask?

Meet Mr Chubby. He is a 2 year old neutered male cat. He came to us with a blocked bladder. This is more common in male cats, because the male cats have more narrow uretha’s so it easy for them to get blocked. Crystals are the main cause of blockage. Crystals can develop from high urine concentration, and improper PH balance. We gave sedation right away and unblocked him. We did leave a urinary catheter in and had him on IV fluids for 2 days.

I tell you the day after he was unblocked it was like a whole new cat. We do have to thank his mom and friends for bringing him in and allowing him to have a nice little visit!
